SolarBee In Tank

Assembling SolarBee

Ready for Install

Reservoir Size:

This particular tank is a 24.5 MG underground potable water reservoir that is divided in half internally by a barrier.

SolarBee Installation:

Date: March 2004: Two (2) SB10000-PW units were installed, one in each compartment of the tank. July 2005, replaced existing units with 2 SB10000v12-PW units.

Project Objectives:

Objectives were to thoroughly mix the water in the tanks to eliminate stratification, short-circuiting and stagnant water conditions, and to provide a uniform 2-3 day water age. This City tried some submersible high HP large banana-blade mixers and found them to have serious problems, including major failures and extensive maintenance requirements associated with corrosion through the motor housing and the gearbox.

Whether solar- or electric-powered, SolarBee has the most competitive and complete tank mixer offering for the job. For more information on this or any other SolarBee installation, please call 866 437 8076.
